The International Aviation Services Organization was officially launched.

The International Aviation Services Organization (IASO) announced its official launch on Monday, May 23, 2016, in Geneva, Switzerland, as an international non-profit organization aimed at unifying the voice of aviation service companies at airports around the world.

IASO was established by a Board of Directors with decades of international experience across the fields of aviation services, air cargo, ground handling, fuel, and logistics, to serve as a global platform supporting the development of this vital sector and enhancing its operational standards.

Mr. Munir Khalifa emphasized that the organization’s primary objective is to improve safety levels and support the implementation of the highest professional standards in aviation services, contributing to improved performance quality and greater trust between service providers and airlines worldwide.

IASO provides its members with access to a specialized electronic system for evaluating ground handling services (AGSA), which supports auditing, risk assessment, service quality improvement, and operational efficiency. The organization also offers additional benefits, including insurance services, fast payment mechanisms, and advanced arbitration tools to protect members’ rights and enhance the quality of services provided.

IASO seeks to support both large and small companies operating in the aviation services sector by providing practical tools, including ground handling damage reports, audit support, and improved fuel pricing efficiency.

The organization operates as a global umbrella association for aviation service companies and includes two subsidiary organizations under its framework: the International Handling Agents Organization (IHAO) and the International Fuel Services Organization (IFSO).

IASO invites interested companies to join its membership through the official website, offering several membership categories, including Platinum, Gold, Silver, and General, allowing each company to choose the membership level that best suits the nature of its business and objectives.
